- The centre is walkable
- Macedonia Square, the Stone Bridge and the Old Bazaar are within walking distance of each other. If your dorm or flat is further out, plan daily trips around buses and taxi apps.
- Know the address abbreviations
- Street is abbreviated "ул." (ulica) and boulevard "бул." (bulevar). The building number follows the street name; "стан" means flat and "кат" means floor.
- Buy your city bus ticket before boarding
- City buses in Skopje are run by JSP. You can buy a ticket in the SkopjeBus app and validate it with the QR code on board, or use a top-up travel card. More in the bus guide.
- Intercity trips leave from the bus station
